Thanks so much to SteveW(MD) from the community for posting a link to a story he stubmled upon on NPR today.
It’s a short story on Hal Roark and his post Katrina work in New Orleans.
For those who’ve been hanging around here for a while, Hal’s one of the original “gray hairs” from years ago. You […]

And whether it’s your day-to-day real estate investing business or just life itself, the magic is found not so much in avoiding the curve balls, but in learning how to […]

Yes, I just said getting rich with real estate is easy.
I realize in the past I’ve often said that real estate investing is “simple, but not easy”. But after a few more years of wisdom and insight I’m now completely reversing my stance, and I’m not apologizing.
The fact is, I do believe it’s actually easy, and here’s […]

Today I bring you a flip tip from Shaun McCloskey, pulled right from Monday night’s session of the Short Sale Intensive.
The second half of each week’s webinar is a live Q&A session, which brings out some really excellent questions from those in attendance, and last night was no exception.
So yesterday, as I began my weekly routine of slicing and dicing the SSI audio for the members’ […]

Today I saw something truly inspiring, and I’d like to share it with you.
This just came across my desk this morning, but it’s the perfect follow-up to yesterday’s “hit by train” article from Craig. I’m not sure, but I think it’s a short clip from the movie “Facing the Giants” (I’ve never seen it).
Honestly, it started […]

Today we give you an article from FH guest poster and Flipping Homes Community member, Craig Fuhr.
Anyone with us at the Profit Machine Intensive last April should remember Craig (probably one of the most high-energy people in the room). This guy’s a true inspiration who never stops telling you how much he “LOVES to talk about real […]

Well apparently the long arm of the FDIC has bitten another big mortgage get-up.
According to the Associated Press today Netbank, a big player in online banking, had it’s sizable doors closed Friday by federal regulators due to ”an excessive level of mortgage defaults”. (Hat tip to Cory Boatright for the article.)
Now I’m not one to start projecting what […]

Over the weekend Shaun copied me on an interesting email. It was a quick response to an exchange between him and Jerry Dalglish, one of our Short Sale Intensive members.
Reading it, I was reminded again that there’s more to this busines than just doing the next deal, flipping the next house, or making the next big paycheck.
Some of the folks […]
